How to burn incense sticks
What is needed to burn incense sticks?
- Joss stick
- Match or lighter
- fireproof joss stick owner and/or a smoking bowl filled with sand or fine little stones
- Joss sticks correctly use
With joss sticks with a carrier wood or a splinter from bamboo you ignite the side at the point, covered with the smoking off. With joss sticks from Japan or joss sticks of Tibet, which do not possess a carrier small piece of wood, ignite simply an end of the joss stick. Use for this a match or a lighter.

Leave the burning chopsticks never unsupervised. Keep these from children, domestic animals as well as inflammable articles and from air away you after smoking.
