How to burn incense sticks

What is needed to burn incense sticks?

 
  • Joss stick
  • Match or lighter
  • fireproof joss stick owner and/or a smoking bowl filled with sand or fine little stones
  • Joss sticks correctly use

With joss sticks with a carrier wood or a splinter from bamboo you ignite the side at the point, covered with the smoking off. With joss sticks from Japan or joss sticks of Tibet, which do not possess a carrier small piece of wood, ignite simply an end of the joss stick. Use for this a match or a lighter.

Letting the joss stick for two to three seconds burn and delete you the flame by you them out subjects. The joss stick should now at its point easily red glowing and a fine odoriferous smoke should from the glowing point of the joss stick proceed.

Put and/or place the glowing joss stick into de joss stick owner intended for it and/or into one for example with fire sand filled smoking bowl.Please note that Tibetan joss sticks as well as joss sticks from Bhutan are substantially thicker than normal joss sticks with a carrier wood or joss sticks from Japan.

Note:
Leave the burning chopsticks never unsupervised. Keep these from children, domestic animals as well as inflammable articles and from air away you after smoking.
